ESOL English for Speakers of Other Languages

Cape Fear Literacy Council Provides English language learning opportunities for adults for all ages.

Small Classes

Small student centered classes for all levels: beginning, intermediate, or advanced.

Classes provide students an opportunity to increase listening, speaking, and writing skills in a friendly, safe learning environment.

Classes are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

ESOL Computer Lab

The Computer Learning Lab provides a learning opportunity for students who cannot attend a class or want more time to study. Students use interactive English programs such as Rosetta Stone, Longman Pearson, Focus on Grammar, etc. ESOL staff is available to guide students and answer their questions. Computer Lab Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00a.m to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Introduction to and Preparation for TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

Individual Tutoring is available for students with defined language goals and for students who can set aside time to meet at a specific time determined and agreed upon by a tutor and student.

All learning opportunities are free.
